Programs

What’s the best way to learn more about Daniel Island history? Get engaged! And no, we don’t mean getting hitched to the love of your life (although that’s a perfectly wonderful idea). We mean getting engaged in all things history – and what makes our island the special place it is today!

What was life like for Native Americans living on Daniel Island? What types of artifacts have been found along our beaches? What role did Daniel Island play during the Revolutionary War and Civil War? Who was Harry Frank Guggenheim and how did he impact the Cainhoy Peninsula? These are just a few of the topics we have explored through various programs offered by DIHS. Check our calendar to get the scoop on upcoming events!
