DIHS TO PRESENT ‘OSCEOLA’S MUSE’ PREVIEW

Seminole leader Osceola is buried on Sullivans Island where his spirit still looms! This nearly forgotten story of the Seminole tribe’s time on the island will come alive for the Daniel Island Historical Society’s fall season kick-off program, to be held on Tuesday, September 17 at Church of the Holy Cross on Daniel Island. Join us as we present a special preview of “Osceola’s Muse,” a highly immersive outdoor theatre experience coming to Sullivan’s Island’s Battery Gadsden this October. At the upcoming DIHS event, several of the creative collaborators will recount  Osceola’s history, describe the immersive theater experience and present excerpts from the production. Panelists will include the renowned artist Jonathan Green, costumes and scenery designer for the show; Osceola expert Thomas Sobol of Fort Moultrie; actors from PURE Theatre; and Daniel Island’s own Kris Manning, a multi-media artist who is creating an enchanting tree-themed art installation for the production. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is free to the community. Reservations are requested as space is limited. To RSVP, please email Beth Bush at elizbush@icloud.com
