This is a MEMBERS ONLY event with limited capacity. You must rsvp and be a DIHS member to participate.
With the advent of home DNA test kits and the availability of other genealogy resources, it’s never been easier to trace your family history! Where did your family originate and when did they migrate to the United States? What did your ancestors do for a living? What challenges or triumphs did they experience? Learn about the tools and tips that can help get you started on your research! Join us for a special Family Genealogy Workshop offered by the Daniel Island Historical Society and hosted by the Charleston Family History Center at their location at 1519 Sam Rittenburg Blvd in West Ashley.
Our program leaders will be Delsa and Dave Biorn. Delsa is director of the Charleston Family History Center and has been teaching or organizing genealogy seminars since 1978! Dave is equally interested in all things family history and uses his amazing computer/tech skills to help dot the “i’s” and cross the “t” when it comes to exploring ancestry. A limited number of spaces are available. To register for this program, email Beth Bush at elizbush@icloud.com
