Join us for “A Daniel Island History Refresher” — featuring a Q&A with Daniel Island’s designated historian Mike Dahlman. New to the island and unaware of what came before the community’s modern day development? Ever wonder what those rows of ancient oaks might signify? What can all those brick pieces along the coastline tell us about the past? Do we know anything about the history behind Daniel Island’s newest neighborhood – Captain’s Island? Mike is ready to answer your Daniel Island history questions! Join us on November17….
We will continue with a virtual meeting via the Zoom webinar platform. It worked seamlessly for our October session and, with board member Andrew Harris at the controls again on November 17 we expect it will, again, go smoothly and without intrusion or disruption. Participants will not have an open mic but will be able to relay questions to our speaker (Mike Dahlman) via the onscreen chat function. The moderator, Andrew, will relay to the questions to Mike. And be assured Mike is looking forward to questions so he can talk about what interests YOU about our island’s history.
The Zoom webinar will begin at 7 pm, Tuesday, November 17. In order to participate please email a request for the link to dihistoricalsociety@gmail.com.
