We’ve been posting a lot about the ongoing fight to save Black graves on the Cainhoy Peninsula. On Tuesday night, via Zoom, you can get a first hand account. One of the folks leading the fight is Grant Mishoe, a Genealogist and Historical Researcher with the Gullah Society.
Grant will join us, via ZOOM, for our next DIHS meeting, Tuesday May 18 at 7 pm.

Grant has been involved in the ongoing struggle to preserve black graves adjacent to the Old Ruins Cemetery. It’s a story that’s generated a lot of interest.
