WHY WE ARE DOING MEMBER ONLY EVENTS

Posted By Bill Payer on May 16, 2022 | 0 comments

Tuesday, May 17 at 7 pm is the last monthly meeting of our program season (September thru May). CLICK HERE for more details on Tuesday night.

We strongly believe our regular monthly programs should be open to everyone. Yet it’s just a fact of life that we are very dependent on membership dues to keep our organization and our community outreach programs going.

That’s why you’ve been seeing more events marked “members only” or specifying that members get first crack at signing up. These events have included two tours of Cainhoy’s Venning Cemetery, a tour of the Charleston Navy Yard, and our long postponed Robert Daniell Birthday Cruise on the Daniel Island Ferry.

We have another one coming up this weekend….Saturday, May 21. The Rotary Club of Daniel Island has invited up to ten  DIHS members to what looks like a great program.

We actually have a number of other opportunities coming up over the summer.

Don’t want to be shut out of members only or members first programs? That’s simple. CLICK HERE for information on how easy it is to join DIHS….including online credit card payments for your dues.
