Actually we have a strong presence in the current Daniel Island NEWS. It’s almost like DIHS co-founder Beth Bush is the editor or something 🙂

First off is an article by reporter Heath Ellison about the DIHS role in keeping island history alive. KEEPING HISTORY ALIVE

And then there’s a timely look at Daniel Island cemeteries as DIHS co-founder Mike Dalhman takes Ellison on a tour the four cemeteries on the island.   EXPLORING DANIEL ISLAND’S FINAL RESTING PLACES

There’s an article about an effort to put Cainhoy’s Jack Primus community on the National Register of Historic Places .

You may recall that Fred Lincoln who is leading that effort was part of a terrific DIHS program on Cainhoy history back in March 2017…CAINHOY HISTORY UPCLOSE AND PERSONAL

And finally, there’s another piece (also by Heath Ellison) on a terrific oral history project involving some Phillip Simmons Elementary students, PSE’s ‘Living Oak Project’
