VETERANS DAY 2021

Here are some sobering statistics about military service by each of the past generations:

48% of men in the Silent and Greatest Generations (those born before 1946) were veterans.

21 percent of male Baby Boomers (born 1946-1964),

9 percent of male Generation Xers (born 1965-1980)

4 percent of male Millennials (born 1981-1996) were veterans, as of 2017.

And, yes, the fact that these stats just deal with men who served is yet another issue.

Lots of food for thought as we honor those who served.

Thank you to all who served and those currently serving. There have been plenty of controversies about the wisdom of some of our military deployments, but there should be no hesitation to honor and thank and men and women who served!
