Our Tuesday, March 15 meeting, “The Untold Stories of Colonial Charleston, was a big success. Our speaker, Peg Eastman, author and deeply rooted Charlestonian, shared the early days of the what would become the South Carolina colony with insight, passion and humor.
Peg Eastman has authored four books (so far…another in the works) on local history. For more information on her books CLICK HERE
And here’s a look at the PowerPoint Peg used during her presentation…
The evening also included the recognition of our latest Live Oak Adoption. Project coordinator Mark Haebig presented the official certificates to Patric Ruppel whose family adopted a tree on their property in honor family Grandfathers….hence the name Pops’ Oak.
