Our speaker will be Margaret Eastman, known to her friends as Peg.  She is a native Charlestonian whose family dates back to the early settlers of the Carolina colony. Her latest book, to be released in 2022, is entitled Broad Street and Beyond, Charleston’s Nexus of Power. Ms. Eastman’s other published works include Remembering Old Charleston – A Peek Behind Parlor Doors (2008), Old Charleston Originals from Celebrities to Scoundrels (2011) and Hidden History of Civil War Charleston (2012). She co-authored Hidden History of Old Charleston with Edward Good (2010). Ms. Eastman also works as a freelance writer for The Charleston Mercury. NOTE:   This meeting will be in the main worship space, NOT the community center where we normally meet due to a scheduling conflict.
