We have a terrific, and terrifically relevant, program coming up Tuesday, February 18. Journalist Carolyn Murray and Citadel History Prof Kerry Taylor will fill us in on the 1969 Charleston Hospital Worker’s Strike. Today that hospital is MUSC. The strike was a dramatic moment in the local unfolding of the Civil Rights Movement. Corretta Scott King was in Charleston to support the strike, and it was one of her first public appearances after the assassination of MLK.
