From the times of Swamp Fox Francis Marion to today’s fights against developers overrunning local history, the Cainhoy Peninsula has been a battleground.
Fred Lincoln and MaeRe Skinner have deep family roots in the area and today are allies in some of the current Cainhoy battles.
Skinner and Lincoln will share some of the rich Cainhoy history and tell us about their fight to preserve that history at the next DIHS meeting. As usual it will be at 7 pm, Tuesday, March 21 at Daniel Island’s Church of the Holy Cross.
If you care about both the past and the future, it’s an evening you won’t want to miss.
