Beth Bush is working on an interesting event but has hit a few snags. She needs your help!

Want to partner with the Daniel Island Historical Society on an exciting upcoming event? We are looking for sponsors for our first ever “Colonial Cocktails” program to be held on Thursday, Feb. 29 on Daniel Island – featuring guest speaker Carin Bloom.

Guests will be invited to learn more about historic libations and sample some old Charleston favorites, such as Planter’s Punch (recipe from Arthur Middleton’s brother), Gin & Tonic (blend of honey, cider vinegar, soda water) and Madeira (the wine that fueled the Revolution). Light snacks and refreshments will also be served! This will be a ticketed, fundraising event for up to 40 people. Do you have the perfect location for our event – either your home, a business or other venue? We are in need of a sponsor for our location, as well as sponsors for our food and beverage supplies. If you can help, please email us at dihistoricalsociety@gmail.com.

The money raised from this event will support a wide range of community services sponsored by DIHS...cemetery cleanup/preservation, Philip Simmons art shows, history trunks and other material to support local teachers and much more. If you can help, please do!
