Special “Hands On” Event for April 22

Indigo was one of the staples of the early local economy.  And on Saturday, April 22 you can have a hands on learning experience.

Indigo, the vibrant blue dye was started here in the colonies by a 17 year old named Eliza Lucas Pinckney. Come spend the morning with the Daniel Island Historical Society and learn more about the amazing history of Indigo and have an opportunity to work hands-on with the dye.

When: Saturday April 22, 2017

Time: 10 am -11:30 am

Location: Holy Cross Church, Daniel Island: the breezeway

$20 per person (normally $65 per person)

Light refreshments will be served

(We are capable of hosting 30 people.*)

*A minimum of 15 people are required for the event to occur
