MEET THE NEW DIHS SECRETARY

Our new Secretary for DIHS is Kim Sermersheim. Here’s a brief bio:

Originally from Southern Indiana Kim graduated from Purdue University with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Industrial Management and Civil Engineering.  He later earned an MBA at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.   

Over a period of 30 years Kim lived in South America and Europe and worked as an Engineering and Management Consultant for his own Company and for large international construction materials companies. 

He has served as a Member of the Board of Directors for the InterAmerican Academy and Hospital Madre Berenice in Ecuador.  He currently volunteers at the Water Mission Foundation and Hope Repairs.

He is married with two children, semi-retired 3 years ago, and resides on Daniel Island.  He believes in building Community through knowing and appreciating the history of the area and of prior generations.
