Do you know the significance of June 28?

A lot of newcomers (“folks from off”) probably aren’t too sure exactly what Carolina Day is….just another local celebration squeezed between Juneteenth and the 4th of July. But Carolina Day is a big deal! And it’s very local marking the June 28, 1776 victory over an invading British fleet at Fort Moultrie on Sullivan’s Island. And yes, it happened BEFORE the Declaration of Independence!
