It’s time for our fifth annual History Under The Stars event.
The Fifth Annual Daniel Island Historical Society’s camp out will be held on Saturday, June 10th and Sunday, June 11th at Smythe Park. Campers can begin setting up their tents at 10 am on Saturday. A representative from the Daniel Island Historical Society will be present to direct families on where to set up. Activities will include a family-friendly history event at 3 pm on Saturday followed by offerings from local food trucks for dinner & dessert beginning at 4:30 pm. A movie will be shown at 7:30 pm followed by s’mores and ghost stories around the campfire at 9:30 pm. Sunday morning includes a light breakfast and all campers must have their campsites broken down and removed by noon. Daniel Island residents ages 18 and above are allowed to register via the Active.com link below. Each registration fee of $35 covers the cost of one tent site approximately 15 x 15 feet in size. If your tent is larger or you would like to set up more than one tent an additional $35 fee and registration will be necessary. This is strictly due to space restrictions. Registration is limited to the first 100 families. Contact Bob Reich at breichjr@hotmail.com with further questions. (age requirement is 18 years old since you must be 18 to sign up for a campsite. Campers of all ages are welcome to join in the campsite)
