The 4th of July is nigh. Here’s what’s happening on Daniel Island and nearby.
The main Independence Day event here on Daniel Island will actually happen July 2.
The Annual Daniel Island Fourth of July Celebration returns on Sunday, July 2, with traditional favorites and with a few new twists. The celebration will feature the popular golf cart parade and patriotic concert as well as the return of an old-time favorite, the Kazoobie Kazoo Show. And, new this year, shag lessons and a shag competition. The main stage entertainment will be the East Coast Party Band.

“A spectacular summer splash of patriotic colors is about to emerge just around the bend from Daniel Island’s Waterfront Park – and Ron Zumstein says if you haven’t experienced it yet, it promises to stop you right in your tracks. “It’s an awesome display,” he said. “It will give you goosebumps.” Zumstein and his garden army of Exchange Club of Daniel Island members will skip their typical Saturday morning routine and instead gather at an unassuming swathe of greenery off River Landing Drive on June 24.”
