DIHS and all of Daniel Island has lost a friend and neighbor who was a patriot, public servant, and longtime DIHS board member, most recently as membership coordinator. Members will remember him as the friendly face greeting you as you entered a meeting!
“Fred served as a valuable member of our board of directors for several years,” said Beth Bush, co-founder of DIHS. “His enthusiasm and love for history was inspiring to us all. We will forever be grateful for his service and his friendship. May he rest in peace.”

He brought the same dedication to that job that he spent a lifetime bringing to service of his country in the Army, the Secret Service, and the CIA.
Condolences to his wife Constance and his extended family.
