The wheels are in motion for a fun new event for kids this fall! The Daniel Island Historical Society is planning an inaugural “Kids Ride & Seek Island History Bike Adventure” for Saturday, Sept. 10.

Kids in grades 5K-3 (ages 5 to 9) are invited to join us for an event that will take participants to five locations around Daniel Island to learn more about our local history! Event will start at 9:30 am at the Crow’s Nest Pool in Edgefield Park and last until about 12 pm.

Cooper River Cycles will be on hand to conduct bike safety checks before participants depart. Other sponsors include the Daniel Island Community Fund and Blackbaud. Refreshments and prizes will be provided. This is a leisurely family event, not a competition.

Limited space is available and all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All participants must sign a liability release form (will be provided)_

Please register by Sept. 3 by emailing Edie MacLaughlin at nannamac057@aol.com

And a special thanks to our sponsors….Cooper River Cycles, The Daniel Island Community Fund and Blackbaud.
