AT 7 pm, Tuesday, April 20 (via Zoom), DIHS will host Anna-Catherine Carroll, Manager of Preservation Initiatives, Preservation Society of Charleston, who will talk about the Charleston Justice Journey.
A project of the Preservation Society, the Charleston Justice Journey (CJJ) is an online interactive research and mapping initiative that highlights sites and stories important to the journey toward racial equality in Charleston and conveys the relationship of this journey to the historic built environment.

Anna-Catherine Carroll bio:
Anna-Catherine Carroll is Manager of Preservation Initiatives with the Preservation Society of Charleston, the first locally-based historic preservation organization in the U.S. As part of the Preservation Society’s Advocacy Department, Anna-Catherine oversees organizational research and outreach initiatives and supports advocacy efforts on issues and projects impacting Charleston’s historic built environment. A native of North Carolina, Anna-Catherine earned a BA in Historic Preservation and Community Planning from the Honors College at the College of Charleston, with a minor in Spanish.
