DIHS Secretary Kim Sermersheim congratulates Cemetery Committee Chair Dick Porter, Diane Lesko and Hugh Haynsworth for receiving an Award of Merit from the Confederation of South Carolina Historical Societies earlier this year for the group’s work restoring and preserving cemeteries on Daniel Island and up the Cainhoy Peninsula. Also on the committee, but not present Tuesday night, are John Freeman and Tom Letourneau.
