Behind the Scenes Tour of Daniel Island’s Newest Landmark!

You drove past the construction site on Seven Farms Drive for two and half years watching the long promised St. Clare of Assisi Church rise toward the sky. (For a terrific illustrated timeline CLICK HERE)

The church officially opened with a Mass of Dedication April 22 (to see Dedication program CLICK HERE.)

And now we’re please to announce we have a special behind the scenes tour of the church set up for Monday, June 5 at 6 pm!

Founding Pastor Gregory West will walk us through the facility, sharing the legacy of the church’s magnificent stained-glass windows and other elements of historic significance.  He’ll also explain the church’s ties to The Basilica of Saint Clare in Assisi, Italy.  Fr West will also share further development plans for the church property.

Fun fact: St Clare of Assisi is considered the patron saint of television and computer screens. Really!

The church main entrance is located at 990 Etiwan Park Street (across from Bishop England HS. Fr West says attendees are welcome to take photographs. Recording sound would not be beneficial to anyone because of the lively acoustics. Attire should be respectful for a house of worship.

Hope to see you there! We are using the online ticketing site EventBrite to help us coordinate this event.  Please log on to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/behind-the-scenes-tour-of-st-clare-of-assisi-church-tickets-632993188667 to reserve your spot.  Please designate how many will be attending in your group.

We want to thank Tory Sullivan and the Daniel Island Neighborhood Association for inviting us to co-sponsor a church tour on May 23…but that event reached capacity before we could even publish the information. Tory was very helpful in connecting with Fr. West and making this June 5 event happen. Thank You!
