This will be a special joint project of DIHS, the Art Guild of Daniel Island, Charleston Young Artists Guild and the Daniel Island Community Fund plus students from Daniel Island School and Philip Simmons Middle School
Details are still being firmed up but the event will feature artists painting the live oaks in the park with other activities expected to include Live Oak adoption/information table, treasure box and hands-on young artists table for smaller children, bird house building, music, story-telling and photo op for people who have already adopted live oaks. We also expect live music during the day.
This will be a great opportunity for a family oriented event focusing on the treasure that is our live oak heritage. Stay tuned for more details as they are firmed up.
