One of the really cool elements of the DIHS Live Oak Adoption program is the ability to name your adopted oak to honor family, friends or other loved ones.

Our most recent adoption was by Patric and Valerie Ruppel who named their tree after the family grandfathers….Pops’.

At our Tuesday, March 15 program, Tree Project Coordinator Mark Haebig presented the adoption certificates from DIHs and the Live Oak Society of the Louisiana Garden Club (the official registrars of live oak adoptions.)
