Archaeology in the I-526 Corridor on Daniel Island

On May 17, 2016, the Daniel Island Historical Society hosted a very special program  at Church of the Holy Cross on Daniel Island commemorating the island community’s 20th anniversary. We were delighted to have Martha Zierdan, Charleston Museum Curator of Historical Archaeology, serve as one of our guest speakers for the event. Ms. Zierdan shared information about the excavation of the area beneath the present day I-526 corridor and the archaeological treasures found there. Check out her amazing Power Point presentation below!
