Students at Philip Simmons Elementary and Middle Schools showed off their “take” on the art and craft of local legend (and school namesake) Philip Simmons in an art show Thursday, May 25.   The DIHS has worked with the Daniel Island School on an annual Philip Simmons art show but this is the first year the project has extended to the new Philip Simmons Elementary and Middle Schools up Clement’s Ferry Road on the Cainhoy Peninsula.  Here are two examples of the work PSES third graders put into the project (courtesy of Lee Ann Bain)

and here are some of the stunning pieces produced by the kids at Philip Simmons  Middle School (courtesy of Beth Bush).
